Our Children's Ministries
The Wheel
Our children's ministries are called the "wheel" because all three work to compliment the other. It is a proven fact that children and adults learn best by repitition and that is exactly what our children's ministries are designed to do. Your child will begin to learn a Sunday school lesson, put it into action as they worship during children's church, and apply it to their lives during our mid-week ministry.
Bible Teaching For Kids (New This Year!!)
This is our Sunday school curriculum that we have chosen for children pre-K to sixth grade. Bible Teaching for Kids provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for babies through preteens. The Bible Teaching for Kids' three-year scope and sequence plan uses a precept-upon-precept approach to teach Bible concepts, skills, and stories. In this way, biblical learning in each age group builds upon previous learning.
Worship Kid's Style (New This Year!!)
This is our children'
s church worship curriculum. Worship Kid's Style will bring Bible stories to life and bring the day’s Bible truth home in a way kids will understand. School-age children will watch attention-holding life application videos that speak to them in their own language and show them how God’s Word relates to their lives - today! Each session is filled with worship, application activities, and wrap-up where kids come together to review.
Friends
The children's midweek Bible curriculum that really reaches out! Friends is a kid magnet! Kid s from inside your ch
urch…from the neighborhood…they all love Friends! This is a volunteer-friendly, easy-to-do program that makes child evangelism natural and fun. Your child will engage discovery center activities and caring small groups that will build strong kid-to-kid and adult-to-kid relationships.
Fall Festival
GCC's Fall Festival is a Christian alternative to Halloween. We encourage the kids and adults to come dressed up in non-scary costumes for a full-filled, family event. It is always held on the evening of October 31 so that the families can come to enjoy an evening inside, out of the weather, but full of fun, games entertainment and, of course, each child leave with a bag FULL of candy. Each year the event is themed and there are all new games and activities that go along with that theme. For more information, contact Becky Bruno at (785) 665-7117.
