HAPPENINGS IN CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

FALL FESTIVAL October 31st

"Partnering With Parents to Raise Children Who Hope in God"

God building blocksWelcome

We welcome you and your child to this vital ministry at Grace.  Your child is precious to you, so we join with you in one of the most important responsibilities:  the nurturing of your child's development.  Our goal is to provide your child a fertile green pasture to graze in and grow.  We hope that Grace is nothing less than a buffet of spiritual growth for your child with plenty of left-over's to take home for the week.

May God bless your family at Grace.

 The Vision

To raise a generation of Christ-exalting, God-glorifying, truth-driven, faith-filled, God-centered, spiritually-fruitful children.

Staffing

Our children ministries volunteers go through an application process and care deeply for your child.  They understand that God has given them a high calling caring for these little souls.

Safety

Safety begins with a clean and safe facility.  We closely monitor ratios of adults to students.  Also, children and volunteers are expected to be in good health.

Security

When we let go of your child's hand, we want to make sure that the next one he/she grasps is yours.  All chidlren must wear a number tag while in our classrooms and all adults are to have a matching number tag to check their child out.

Some Vital Beliefs About Children

We believe our children deserve the best . . .

Because God calls us to give them the best (Deut. 6:6-9; Psalm 78)

We believe our children deserve the best . . .

Because they are made in the image of God-they are people (Gen. 2)

We believe our children deserve the best . . .

Because children matter to God (Mark 10)

Our Children's Ministries

The Wheel

Our children's ministries are called the "wheel" because all three work to compliment the other.  It is a proven fact that children and adults learn best by repitition and that is exactly what our children's ministries are designed to do.  Your child will begin to learn a Sunday school lesson, put it into action as they worship during children's church, and apply it to their lives during our mid-week ministry.

Bible Teaching For Kids (New This Year!!)Bible Teaching for Kids

This is our Sunday school curriculum that we have chosen for children pre-K to sixth grade.  Bible Teaching for Kids provides a balanced approach to central Bible concepts, essential Bible skills, and foundational Bible stories for babies through preteens.  The Bible Teaching for Kids' three-year scope and sequence plan uses a precept-upon-precept approach to teach Bible concepts, skills, and stories. In this way, biblical learning in each age group builds upon previous learning.

Worship Kid's Style (New This Year!!)

This is our children' index_WKSlogos church worship curriculum.  Worship Kid's Style will bring Bible stories to life and bring the day’s Bible truth home in a way kids will understand. School-age children will watch attention-holding life application videos that speak to them in their own language and show them how God’s Word relates to their lives - today!  Each session is filled with worship, application activities, and wrap-up where kids come together to review.

Friends

This is a volunteer-friendly, easy-to-do program that makes child evangelism natural and fun.  Your child will engage discovery center activities and caring small groups that will build strong kid-to-kid and adult-to-kid relationships.

Fall Festival

GCC's Fall Festival is a Christian alternative to Halloween.  We encourage the kids and adults to come dressed up in non-scary costumes for a full-filled, family event.  It is always held on the evening of October 31 so that the families can come to enjoy an evening inside, out of the weather, but full of fun, games entertainment and, of course, each child leave with a bag FULL of candy.  Each year the event is themed and there are all new games and activities that go along with that theme.  For more information, contact Becky Bruno at (785) 665-7117.
